For the past 10 years I have produced a programme of contemporary art for WOMAD Charlton Park, the UK's biggest world music festival. WOMAD World of Art enables festival-goers to experience and engage with the work of international artists. Artists that have created or presented work for WOMAD include Barthélémy Toguo, Neville Gabie, Graeme Miller, Sol Calero and OPAVIVARA! (see Project archive).
For WOMAD 2019 we worked with visual and physical theatre company Pif-Paf. They presented Celestial Sound Cloud, a digital sound and light sculpture inspired by cosmic clouds and nebulas. Installed in a secret location at the festival, the work invited an audience of strangers to interact by singing, dancing and moving underneath to create their own visual experience and soundscape.
